Since 1867 this beautiful edifice has served the citizens of Macoupin County and some say the ghosts of the past still walk its halls. Is the courthouse haunted as some suggest? For the first time ever a group of ghost hunters will be allowed inside to try to find out! Join us for an exclusive late night investigation of the Macoupin County courthouse in Carlinville, Illinois with access to several parts of the building said to have a haunted history. Also included is access to the historic “Old Jail”. Built in 1869, this old building has room for 16 prisoners, rooms for the jailer & his wife and was the scene of several suicides and hangings…and five ghost hunters at a time will enter this foreboding structure to see if anyone from its storied past may be lingering!
