Are you brave enough to join Troy and Lisa from American Hauntings at one of the most haunted places in America? After a long hiatus, we are returning to the eerie J.B. Moore home in Villisca, Iowa, site of a grisly murder in 1912 that has left a haunting in its wake. You’ve read about the murders in Troy’s book and you’ve seen the place on television shows, but now you can experience it for yourself as we return to the house with a VERY limited number of investigators. Does it truly deserve to be listed as one of America’s most haunted houses? Find out for yourself during this chilling all-night event!
During the late night hours of June 9, 1912, local businessman J.B. Moore, his wife Sarah, their four children Herman, Catherine, Boyd, and Paul, and two overnight visitors, Lena and Ina Stillinger, were murdered in this small house in Villisca, Iowa. The bodies were discovered early the next morning by J.B.’s brother, Ross. News spread quickly, and soon the house was overrun with those curious about the murders, which likely destroyed whatever evidence there might have been. While there were several suspects in the case, it was unfortunately never solved and remains a mystery to this day.
Not surprisingly, the Moore house is considered to be haunted.
